From Humble Beginnings to Excellence
The origin of Ax & Noble started with the merger in 2024 of Advocatenkantoor Adsum Aruba, led by Eline J.M. Lotter Homan and Richbar Attorneys & Corporate Advisors, led by Clifford R.O. Richardson. Two teams who came together with a shared vision: to serve our clients with integrity, excellence, and care.
A Name with Purpose
The name Ax & Noble reflects the founders’ vision and values. “Ax” comes from the idea of an axis, a central point of balance, direction, and growth. “Noble” speaks to a standard of excellence and integrity, qualities that are enduring and purposeful. Together, Ax & Noble represents a thoughtful balance between structure and aspiration, guided by principle and intention.

Eline J.M. Lotter Homan
Co-Founder of Ax & Noble, Eline is an all-around attorney with over 20 years of experience, specialized in areas such as administrative, employment, insurance, contract and commercial law. After earning her master’s at the University of Maastricht in 1999, she began her career in Amsterdam at a legal assistance insurance company before moving to Aruba, where she was sworn in as a lawyer in 2001. She started her own law firm, Adsum Aruba, in 2021. Eline has served several terms on the board of the Aruban Bar Association, delivered seminar lectures, and written numerous legal columns.
Clifford R.O. Richardson
Co-Founder of Ax & Noble, is an experienced attorney with over 15 years of experience in law, business development and banking across the Dutch Caribbean. Clifford is specialized mainly in Corporate, commercial and contract law. After earning his master’s degree at Utrecht University, Clifford began his career at a large Dutch Caribbean law firm in 2010. In 2017, Clifford made a career switch to business banking at RBC Royal Bank (Aruba), prior to launching Richbar Attorneys & Corporate Advisors in 2020, bringing an innovative and personal approach to legal services. Known for his strong communication and negotiation skills, along with his people-centered philosophy, Clifford is dedicated to building meaningful connections and advocating effectively for his clients.
Linda A. J. Banis
Linda, an attorney with Richbar Attorneys & Corporate Advisors since 2022, brings a unique blend of legal and financial expertise, holding a degree in Financial Management from Nyenrode Business University, a Master of Criminal Investigation and a Master in Law Degree from Open University in the Netherlands. Her background as a financial detective equips her to handle a wide range of legal, corporate, and financial matters, including white-collar crime. Linda also has a passion for litigation with a specialization in construction law and apartment right, including homeowners association disputes. Linda's dedication and diverse experience make her a vital asset to our firm.
Celina A. Ras
Celina obtained her master’s degree in law from the University of Aruba in 2022. Before her graduation she gained hands-on experience at Adsum Aruba, supporting legal research and case preparation during her internship in 2021. Sworn in as a lawyer in October 2022, Celina has been servicing clients at Adsum Aruba within a wide variety of practice areas and will gladly continue to do so for Ax & Noble. She currently serves as the chairperson at the Aruban Young Bar Association.
Rudselyne M. de Kort
Rudselyne is a skilled attorney with a Master of Law and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Aruba. Rudselyne, has been with Richbar Attorneys & Corporate Advisors since its inception in 2020 starting as an intern while completing her law degree. She combines her expertise in law and business to support clients with legal issues. Rudselyne’s business insight and legal acumen make her a valued team member.
Priscilla A. Poulina
Priscilla is the firm’s Legal Secretary, supporting the attorneys with meticulous organization, warm client communication, and efficient day-to-day coordination of files, schedules, and court-related deadlines. She helps keep matters moving smoothly by preparing and formatting legal documents, managing calendars and client files, and ensuring that important information is always accessible when needed. Clients and colleagues value her reliability, discretion, and calm, professional presence, which contribute to a welcoming office environment and a well-run practice.
Juancho Ridderstap
Juan serves as a Paralegal and Collections Officer at Ax & Noble, providing comprehensive legal and administrative support to our attorneys. His responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing documentation, managing case files, and ensuring effective oversight of client accounts and collections. Juan holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Aruba, which complements his commitment to precision, professionalism, and client service.
